ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Shakayla Scott is open about the fact that she came from a drug addicted single mom who taught her how to do hair. Since she was essentially the second parent, she had to learn to help maintain her 3 siblings' authentic hair. Then it became a skill that she never let go of, and she learned to master it! Shakayla says the best part about her story is how many opportunities braiding has presented to her such as therapy sessions, praise and worship sessions, watching her kids & clients grow up, and developing lifelong relationships. Her business is "Gifted Hands of Grace," and she is really talented with her hands in creating a work of art with braids!
