The Christmas Give2Give program for 2024 became a wonderful journey of generosity and support. Thanks to the efforts of our dedicated donors and volunteers, we were able to bring joy and essential items 456 individuals.
Our mission was straightforward: to ensure that every individual in need felt the warmth and love of the season. We achieved this by providing gifts for 317 parents & children, stuffing 75 stockings for the juvenile detention center, and creating 64 gift bags for residents at the LifeLine Connection Center. Additionally, we assembled over 63 "Baskets of Love," filled with household essentials that supported families during what can often be a stressful time. Also with the partnership from Scott Campbell Christmas Promise we were able to deliver 24 new bikes to client families.

Monday of our Give2Give sorting and distributing week, we had over 200 individuals unsponsored and unlikely to get gifts. By Tuesday, we had two large donors provide funds, allowing our team to go shopping for all unsponsored individuals. This achievement was only possible because of our community's kindness and support. As the week continued we had numerous last-minute toy donation, which ensured that no one was left out.
What made this program special was not only the gifts but also the connections we created within our community. We witnessed individuals and families unite, ready to help those who struggle. Every contribution, whether a financial donation, a toy, or a simple act of kindness by wrapping gifts by our volunteers, brought joy to those in need.
A standout moment of the Give2Give program was our partnership with local organizations. Collaborating with local juvenile detention centers allowed us to uplift the spirits of youth who often feel overlooked during the holidays. With the support of our community we filled 75 stockings with thoughtful educational items, reminding them that they are valued and deserve support.
A special shoutout goes to Rotary Club of Vancouver Sunrise for filling 25 stockings with a value of $750. A new addition this year was boxes of books from our community partner Little Wings Library who provided so many education and fun books for our sponsored children. Every family was given a bundle of books.

The 64 gift bags for residents at the LifeLine Connection Center were another crucial part of our initiative. These bags, packed with personal care items for both the Men's & Women's programs @ Lifeline. Each gift bag served as a reminder that they are not alone in their recovery and there is a caring community behind them. Again this couldn't of been accomplished without the amazing support of the Lewis River Rotary who filled 45 of the gift bags for the men's program.

Give2Give owes its existence to our Baskets of Love, which served as the catalyst for the organization's founding in 2008. Jahnea aimed to support mothers and fathers who were newly recovering from substance abuse. She would fill laundry baskets or stockings to motivate others on their recovery journey, just as someone had supported her family during their most challenging time.
